- 1. Curating the Mark Kozelek show in Salt Lake City. The brilliant Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters frontman delivered an incredible acoustic set in June at The State Room. Mark even dedicated "Caroline" to me and my wife a few days before our daughter was born. He was delightful, funny, and in-the-zone during his intimate two-hour set. From finding the venue to arranging the date, from haggling over deal points to displaying the merchandise, from pick-up to soundcheck, it was a backstage experience The D Man will never forget.
