Song of the Week

Destroyer aka Dan Bejar is back with his first album since 2011's desert-island disc, Kaputt.  Check out "Dream Lover," the first sneak peak from Destroyer's tenth full-length Poison Season.  That is the album art above, to which The D Man can only say, yeeeeeessssssss!

Five Things

My Morning Jacket Release New Song Teasers And Trailer For New Album
(My Morning Jacket)

The D Man was disappointed when the Twin Shadow concert was canceled.  The band's tour buses
were involved in a fog-riddled crash outside of Denver.  George Lewis had to have constructive surgery on his left hand and his drummer is still in the hospital.  Thankfully, we have had a recent slate of albums drop, and the tunes have been solid.
  • Enjoy this deep cut from The Waterfall.  My Morning Jacket.  Get some.
  • The D Man didn't dig Courtney Barnett's first single from her critically-acclaimed debut, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.  But "Depreston" is a washed out, alt-country croon worth paying attention.
  • Tame Impala's "Let It Happen" has caught me via hypnosis, especially the back half of the psyche-groove track.
  • "Electric Current" is another cool late-night track from Lower Dens' Escape from Evil.
  • Check out the video for "Lonesome Street," a single from Blur's The Magic Whip.
