Mew.  Denizens of Danish dream-prog.  Back with their first album in six years.  The past two records have been year-end Top Ten material.  Stoked to hear where it all goes next.  + - (yes, that is the album's name) drops this week.  Check out the videos for "Satellites" and "Water Slides."

Five Things

(TV on the Radio)

The D Man and Sjoblom aka The Rabbi aka The Deuce enjoyed the TV on the Radio show last weekend.  We were in agreement that "Trouble" was the joint of the night.  When the devil starts creeping in, you best get a move on.  Everything's gonna be okay!
  • Carrie & Lowell is a personal, poetic masterpiece in tone, form, subject matter, and divine grace.  The gorgeous melodies from opening track "Death with Dignity" keep moving me even after I listen; the song's search for understanding is simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting.
  • Hippocampus performed this bolt of weekend pop on Conan.  Loved every minute of it.
  • The National released "Sunshine on my Back," an outtake from the Trouble Will Find Me sessions.  Sharon Van Etten provides backing vocals.
  • Jamie xx will be dropping his solo debut soon.  Check out "Loud Places" featuring his xx bandmate Romy.
