Five Things

(The D Man, Bones, Rip, and Rizzo)

Bones & Bros 2014 went down in Hermosa Beach over the long weekend.  The D Man, Bones, Rip, and Rizzo spent plenty of time chilling in the water and listening to some great tunes.  We hit the Spazmatics show and had a riot.  We watched Bones do some shredding on his guitar, though he is too modest to let on that he has some serious chops.  And his ability to ad lib lyrics was spot on.  He threw shade at The D Man with some personalized guitar ditties that questioned my ability to swim outside the lifeguard's purview and sit in an airplane exit row.  But I took it in stride because, well, I'm The D Man.
  • Check out the perfect video for the perfect opening track from Lost in the Dream.
  • Enjoy Ryan Adams performing his fine new track "Wrecking Ball" on Fallon.
  • Dan Bejar aka Destroyer aka The D Man's lyrical/musical savant leads out on the new track "War on the East Coast."  He chills/walks in his long coat while A.C. Newman lip syncs in the video.
  • If you have time, it is well worth watching The Kate Bush Story: Running Up That Hill.  The enigmatic Bush just performed live in England for the first time in 35 years.
  • Mac Demarco's Salad Days keeps bringing The D Man back.
